I have a list of telephone numbers (eg 0118 564 784), how do I quickly remove the spaces from each number?

Simply select the telephone number column, then choose 'Numeric Only Cleaning', then tick the 'Remove all spaces' box. Click 'Clean' and this will remove all spaces from the telephone numbers.

What are non-printable characters?

Non printable characters are those special characters like carriage return, line feed, form feed, etc.

Sometimes these characters are found in the data files but the problem is you can't see them.

Choosing this option will guarantee that your data is free of these hidden characters.

Can I use wildcards on the filter, so I can just change specific values (eg. remove spaces from all the values that have just 6 characters)?

Yes, WinPure ListCleaner is equipped with very powerful and flexible filtering and wildcards.

To remove spaces from all values that have just 6 character, simply place '??????' in the filter box, then choose 'Numeric Only Cleaning', then tick the 'Remove all spaces' box. Click 'Clean' and this will remove all spaces from the telephone numbers.

How do I sort the values list into alphabetical order

Simply click the column name at the top of the list, and WinPure ListCleaner will automatically sort into ascending order. By clicking again, it will then sort into descending order. You can also sort the counts by doing the same procedure.

Can I filter each individual value on the list?

Click on the value, then click right-mouse button, this will then filter the value on Data Table.
