How does ListCleaner know the email address is incorrect?

WinPure ListCleaner uses its own Email Analysis Engine (EAE) to check the syntax of each email address. Together with its own predefined list of domain and country names, WinPure ListCleaner can provide a simple check and also provide suggestions to bad email addresses.

How do I filter email addresses from different countries?

You simply place the country name (assuming this exists in your email list) onto the Filter, under where its says 'Country'.

There seems to be a few invalid email addresses with no suggestions, why is that?

WinPure ListCleaner uses special algorithms and techniques for providing email suggestions, but some email addresses may be too badly misspelt, which will prevent WinPure ListCleaner from providing a suggestion.

How can I filter just my company email addresses?

You simply place your company (assuming this exists in your email list) onto the Filter, under where its says 'Sub Domain'.

Whats the difference between ccTLD's and gTLD's?

ccTLDs are the two character country codes used as Top-Line domains in the internet world. (eg .uk or .au).

gTLDs are generic top level domains. They are the last part of a fully qualified domain name that comes before the ccTLD and helps to group domains by purpose (eg .gov or .edu).

When I click 'Remove all Invalids', will that delete the entire record or just the email addresses?

It will delete just the email addresses, not the entire record(s).

Can I sort different aspects of the email addresses into alphabetical order?

Yes, you can sort each aspect of the email address by simply clicking on the header, one click for ascending and another click for descending.

I want to delete all emails of a certain country. How do I go about doing this?

1 - Goto email tab and select the email field.

2 - Untick account, domain and sub-domain tick boxes and make sure country tickbox stays ticked.

3 - Double click on the FIRST COLUMN of the listbox of your selected country. This will take you to data table and filter it for the selected country.

4 - Highlight all records you want to delete using the record selector on the left hand side.

5 - Hit the del key on your keyboard.

As a side issue:

If you would like to filter the records on the email tab for a certain country

In the filter field of TLD OR COUNTRY, type the country code or name you want to filter emails for. This will filter the entries only for the selected country.

You can use wildcards in these filter boxes. TLDs are two letter codes but country names can be long. So if you are typing a country name in the country name filter, you don't have to type the exact name of the country. For example for United Kingdom you can type Uni*King*

Can I use wildcards on the filter, so I can just view the email address that begin with 'Alan'?

Yes, WinPure ListCleaner is equipped with very powerful and flexible filtering and wildcards.

To view all email address that begin with 'Alan', simple place 'Alan*' in the filter box, under the 'Account'.
