Is there a way to delete all duplicate records? Simply click 'Remove Records', and you will be asked if you want to delete the duplicated records. Alternatively, you can filter each duplicate and delete these from the Data Table.
I have many duplications, is it possible to sort the results list with the most duplications first? Yes, on the duplications list, click the 'Count', and this will automatically sort into ascending or descending order.
What exactly happens when I click 'Remove Records'? If you are using the 'Duplicates Search on All columns', WinPure ListCleaner Lite will delete the duplicated rows, leaving just one unique record. If you are using the 'Duplicates Search on Selected columns', WinPure ListCleaner Lite will delete rows with duplicated values, leaving just one unique record. This is explained in more detail on the help files.
How do filter each duplication, so I can see the whole record? On the duplications list, simply double click the value and you will automatically be taken back to Data Table to view the entire record.
How do I sort the duplications and counts into alphabetical order? On the duplications list, click the 'Count' or column name, and this will automatically sort them into ascending or descending order.
Is it possible to filter just the duplications? Yes. Simply click the 'Filter Dupes' button, this will filter all the duplications and allow you to export them if required.
How do I export just the duplications? On the Dupe Remover module click 'Filter Dupes', this will then filter the duplications. Next, choose 'File > Export', and you should see the message "Your data is currently filtered. Are you sure you want to export filtered selelction only?". Select 'OK' and this will then enable you to select the filetype and filename of the duplications list. I have filtered one of the dupes, there are 350 records and I want to delete all of them, is this possible? Yes, simply click the 'Delete' icon, or choose Edit/Delete All Filtered - to remove all the rows within the filtered selection
How can I dedupe one file from another? In
order to dedupe 2 files, you will firstly need to merge the 2 files together,
ensuring you flag each record (eg. Create a field called 'File' and this
could contain 'File1' and 'File2', just so you can tell which record the
file has come from). Using the 'Dupe Remover', you can use Only WinPure Clean & Match 2007 has the ability to import two seperate files, and dedupe one from another. |
